How it works

This process is very simple, you can start by entering your destination, travel dates and number of persons in the main box on the homepage. Then you will be redirected to an easy-to-use “Create Stay” page where you can choose what requirements you want for your stay (e.g: hotel or hostel, breakfast, parking, gym etc..). You can also set a timeout on the stay, [this is the amount of time you will allow accommodation providers to bid for your business and make you an offer], and the currency you want to be deal in. You can also sign in with your facebook account in so that you can add friends to your stay, whether they are going to stay with you, or just going to give their advice on which offer to accept. Finally you post the stay on vStay.com and wait for accommodation providers to make you an offer!

vStay.com is the first website to offer users a facility to book accommodation together online. With vStay s novel SCB© (Social Co-operative Booking) software, friends or workmates can view offers from hotels, hostels, B&Bs from different locations online and comment on or “like” their preferred offers. In order to accept an offer, you must provide credit card details to vStay.com. The amount you pay to vStay.com is a 7.5% commission fee and only a portion of the total cost of the reservation. The amount of this down payment will be clearly shown before your credit card is charged; the payment secures a reservation for you. The balance will be paid to the establishment at the time of your stay.

Yes. vStay.com uses the latest state of the art secure booking technology. The security of your personal data is paramount to us at vStay.com.

You will be charged a non-refundable commission fee of 7.5% at the time of booking. However, you will not be charged for the stay until the date of your stay.

You must contact the accommodation establishment directly in order to make any changes to the stay. All details regarding contact information will be contained in the confirmation email sent to you after making a booking on vStay.com.

All establishments have their own cancellation policies, details of which will be accessible during the reservation process on vStay.com and in your confirmation email. In order to cancel a booking you must send written notification by email to bookings@vstay.com, which in turn, we at vStay will forward onto the relevant establishment. If you contact us within the time limit specified by the establishment, you will be entitled to a refund of the commission fee paid at time of booking, less a €10 administration fee.

Yes, after any offer is accepted by a user on vStay.com, we will send a confirmation email containing all booking details and information about the establishment. Users will also be able to log on to vStay.com to monitor their stays (active and past) and access any information regarding those.
